Café Assistant/Barista (Part Time - Start September)
About the Role
As a Café Assistant, you'll play a key role in both our café and creative studio, helping us deliver an outstanding experience to every customer.
Your Responsibilities
Preparing consistently high-quality coffee and other drinks
Delivering exceptional front-of-house customer service
Taking orders and operating the till
Keeping the café clean, organised and welcoming
Assisting customers with pottery painting and creative activities
Helping glaze pottery and prepare pieces for kiln firing (training provided)
Supporting creative workshops and special events
Merchandising and restocking our retail displays
Confidently recommending products, workshops and creative experiences
Assisting with opening and closing procedures on selected shifts
Working closely with the team to create a warm and inspiring atmosphere
What We're Looking For
Previous barista experience is essential.
Confident in preparing espresso-based drinks to a high standard.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, positive and approachable.
Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment.
An interest in creativity, art or design is a bonus.
Happy to work some weekends.

Hours
Part-time with a flexible rota, including some weekend shifts. Additional hours may be available during busy periods, holidays and special events.
